How do you know if your Xbox 360 has the Red Ring of Death? The symptoms of the red ring of death error are very simple. In all cases the three lights around the power button flash red, the upper-right quadrant light is the only light that does not flash red. This will make your video either freeze, with no sound or your screen may go completely blank, either while playing or attempting to turn on your console. This in combination with three red lights around the power button indicates you have RROD.
